When I see the thingy on one of them move on it's own without being touched, that's when I might start thinking there was something in it. Till then, it's just a bunch of people communally exerting subconscious influence over its movement. That said, I have no interest in trying it except perhaps as a psychological study/experiment of some kind. But the thing itself holds no wonder for me... and just fits into the same category of biased, pattern-completing, and self-fulfilling psychological effects as horoscopes, tarot cards, and the like.
