It's also irrelevant .
The US constitution was intentionally designed as a living document, able to be changed. Hence the Bill Of Rights. The US constitution AND ITS INTERPRETATIONS are meant to reflect the needs and wishes of "we the people" ,as are all constitutions.
My perception is that the current position of firearms in US society reflects the wishes of vested interests via the corrupt lobbying system,but not wishes of the majority of the population.This perception has been supported by polls in the US for decades.
