You say "all", then say "mostly". Backpedaling.

I get no pleasure, for instance, watching the current president lie, fail, and tween insane bullshit, even if it does give "my side" a better chance in the future because I, you know, care about other human beings, and don't enjoy seeing anyone fuck up other people's lives, or even just their own.
To each their own I guess.
Factor in that the OP is an idiot. The equation will balance then.
My bold
While i dont agree with the OP's generalization by attributing this to "the left" rather than saying "these people from the left", he isn't doing anything different from many of the threads here. There are entire threads titled "Damned ________" or "Christians this" and "Republicans that" which attribute all the bad behaviors from particular people of a group to the entire group.
Neo isn't doing anything different than what gets done all the time here, except he's doing it to your side.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
