I got a 500$ tax cut. I'm single man who makes less than 24 000 a year with no dependants. Basically for me it's all about raising the standard deduction, which means that I'll never have to pay federal taxes in my life, since my life isn't about making money and I don't plan on making that much money really.

For the record, for the working poor, like me, 500 dollars is a huge amount of money. I can go on a month long climbing trip with it.
