In any event, if, as you claim, I am predestined to be an atheist then there is not a thing you can do about it. Your god has made it so. Are you going to disagree with your god? What will he/she/it/housecat have to say about your rejection of his/her/it's/housecat's will?
Thanks for the correction. Predestinated isn't a word.
I didn't claim that anyone is presdestined, but the means of salvation is fixed, as far as God is concerned.
I remember having some issues about this, so I read the texts again, and found what I said.
The idea that people are arbitarily destined to be either saved or lost is very creepy and unfair.

You are quite right, a true God would never let you go.
If you believe in God, you will live forever. Death will be like a sleep, but the grave cannot hold you.
If you have been dead for a couple of hundred years, when you awake in the resurrection which takes place at the return of Christ, for you the gap between falling unconscious and waking up is no time at all.
There is absolutely no pain or consciousness in death, it is like sleep, there is nothing, until you wake up, and you will be young and in perfect health.
Why are we allowed to die here, why can't we take a short cut to heaven?
I don't know, but there must be a good reason, which we will find out.
