Remember, that's why I'm in this inane discussion with you. You blamed the wrong people for your lower refund by mistake.
Nothing in my life has changed very much (number of kids, income, etc.), and so, why was my refund $2K less? Of course, you don't know, but I suspect that it had to do with the fact that we have 5 kids, and so, yes, I am blaming the new tax law. And, my overall salary has gone down since the passage of the bill.

Did your health care expenditures exceed 7.5% of your gross income? If not it didn't make a difference.
If it did not make a difference, why pass it in the first place? I am voting straight Democrat come fall and beyond.
