No, I expect them to care for a baby whether they're fully prepared to have it or not. Or put it up for adoption. People have been doing so for as long as there have been people.
Quote:‘Go ahead and have sex; that’s fine. But, if you get pregnant, that’s on you, just like it has been for as long as there's been people. Many of you will find that children are a blessing, not a curse. The rest of you will carry on anyway.
FTFY
Quote:Sure. But that doesn’t mean it’s necessary we attempt to do so every time we engage in sexual intercourse, lol.
Nope, but it does mean that people have been having unplanned children for as long as there have been people.
Quote:That’s not true at all. If I gave you that impression it was the wrong one. I am extremely, internally conflicted on the subject of abortion in general.
And that's a big part of the problem of this discussion. I gave you the benefit of the doubt when you said you're different from 99% of atheists on this issue, yet you argue just like most of them. It would be easier if you really knew where you stood, and why.
Quote:No. Why are you having such a hard time with this?
Action A: woman has sex
Event B: Pregnancy happens
Action/s C: Woman aks for an abortion, and it is performed
It doesn’t follow that making a personal, moral judgement about action/s C means that I am necessarily making a personal, moral judgement about action A.
Right - it doesn't mean that for you. Yet, for me, you seem to think it does necessarily mean that.

I'd rather take it from foreign aid and immigrant benefits - and the fathers - than in higher taxes. Why do you guys always jump to higher taxes?

That's not a very compelling argument.
Maybe we should just sterilize all the poor people, eh?
You should really think these things through before you say them. Babies killed by abortion are disproportionately poor, minority, and female.
