In abrahamic religions children are generally seen as a burden, a punishment for f*cking, as well as a commodity to be utilized for the benefit of the parents, including selling them into slavery and slaughtering them as sacrifice. They're kind of useful and necessary - for now, here on Earth, but who gives a sh*t about family, if you get to live forever, holding hands with your imaginary Super Best Friends?
I mean - if we're all "god's children", that means that little sh*t ain't mine...
