Just think what else Trump could accomplish by shitting on our friends and allies more often.
All of a sudden, the left is filled with Hawks who are demanding we use military might to intimidate NK during the diplomatic efforts. The same left that was having anxiety attacks a year ago, because Trump was tweeting insults that they were scared were going to cause WWIII.
It's pretty silly.
I'm "left" simply by virtue of the U.S.'s utterly skewed understanding of what Left and Right actually mean. In any country not hamstrung by our laughably narrow bandwidth of politically acceptable options, I would be considered center-right, with a libertarian's attitude on most social issues. And my attitude didn't form "all of a sudden".
Negotiate, by all means! But walk away with something in exchange for what you're willing to foreswear. North Korea obviously got a couple of things they wanted. What exactly did we get out of this meeting, other than the same meaningless assurances we've received in the past?
