Unfortunately more than. I know it's totally unreasonable and irrational but I'm not sure you're taking into account the extremes some in the US will take to keep their guns. Imagine several Ruby Ridge and Waco like scenario's. And the creation of Tim McVeigh's.

Now that the PD of this thread has been successfully derailed, can we PLEASE get it back on the topic of the shooting victims?

I'm all for talking about guns in a thread designed for that purpose. That is not the purpose of this thread.

What would you like me to say about the victims? It's a damn shame and should never have happened. We need find a way to stop it.

And for every other gun victim today or any other day that's not in a mass shooting, it's a damn shame and should never have happened. We need find a way to stop it.

Updates on anything since it was a developing story, maybe? One thing I do know is that from this morning, they were saying that the shooter had military training. At that time they weren't indicating any sort of mental health issue. I know everyone wants to use that as their go to when talking about the shooter, but I think this is one case where a mental health issue doesn't apply, unless there's been an update and something has changed?
