Hillary won the popular vote by 2.9 million, and so, the polls were both right and wrong at the same time. Trump crested exactly when and where he needed to; the polls are, of course, always "shooting" at a moving target.
We had a programme here the other week that hinted that a IT firm used by the republicans practiced stealing elections on the Brexit vote. They wanted a large test election to test their strategy in preparation for the US elections and didn't charge the leave campaign for their services.
"Brexit the uncivil war" it was called.
