I started wearing a MAGA hat (not an official Trump campaign one) sometimes, just as a statement about free speech. I started doing it after Covington. A bunch of my friends were arguing that wearing that hat is the same as wearing a swastika, and that anyone wearing it deserved what they got. So I started wearing one just to shut them the fuck up. After all, if we keep going down this road where it is OK to punch people in the face for wearing the hats of our political opponents, then it's going to be OK to punch me in the face for being a pinko commy. I'm sorry, but I remember all too well what it was like to get sent to the principal's office and paddled because I said some Marxist things.

We do not inherit the world from our parents. We borrow it from our children.
