Realistically, in a country in which atheism is illegal? Lie my tits off of course.
I will deliberately give a false impression that I'm a believe whenever it seems like a good idea. Not willing to die or even be punished for a belief/ lack of belief or for an idea. Fortunately, a rare occurrence in OZ. What can I say, I'm self centred and weak.
A question; In the US does there seem to be a correlation between between fundamentalist knuckle draggers and people who fly the flag in their yard? In Oz, patriotism is simply assumed. I tend to look with suspicion with people who fly the flag in their yard. Slightly more acceptable to fly a flag on one's car on Australia Day. I guess I relate flag waving to jingoism. I'm aware this may be an unjustified prejudice on my part.
