Your objection?
Meh, I just don’t get the killing of animals for fun. It’s a personal opinion. To each their own.
You object to eating meat - or controlling animal population?
I dont hunt for " fun". I hunt for food. Last year I shot, butchered and put 5 deer in my freezer. Next year I expect to get at least that. I will not have to rely on - or even buy - any factory farmed protein forthe foreseeable future.
The biggest threat to that? Animal huggers getting areas shut down for hunting. This is a real problem on the east side of michigan - in heavily populated areas. It leads to deer overpopulation - and CWD - Chronic Wasting Disease. It's transmission is via food - where deer eat feed contaminated by infected animals through saliva. The most likely spot they contract it? Bunnyhuggers feeding the poor hungry deer.
This isn' t my opinion. It is data, provided by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It' s on their website.
Hunters are NEEDED to keep deer from going extinct.
