Remember, Hilary got the popular vote. Trump was hoisted into office by the electoral college. We aren't even told who is on the electoral college and for all we know, it might not even exist. Just a bunch of high ranking politicians who step in to do what they want.
The US is a republic, not a democracy. They show us a rock and a hard place and tell us to choose.
I reject the conspiracy theory implications but yes, the Electoral College is a concept which is long outdated. It's disgraceful and a national embarrassment that the orange turd was installed as President despite the popular majority overwhelmingly favoring Hillary Clinton.
