Drooler logic - limiting magazine capacity saves lives!
Jesus fuck on a crutch.
How do you figure that? You have data to prove it?
No? Big surprise.
It SOUNDS good. That' s your data.
Changing a magazine is easy and quick - AS IT IS DESIGNED TO BE. Regardless of what you might have seen in a movie - you will not have " time to rush a shooter while he is changing magazines". You will in all probability simply make yourself his next available target.
The reality - if all a shooter has is 10 round magazines - he is less likely to pull a trigger on an empty chamber - because he can easily count and keep track of how many rounds are left in the magazine. A halfway trained moron can count to ten.
Thus - by likely by limiting magazine size - lone gunman shooters may become more effective and more deadly.
But don' t take that into account - just go for those laws that SOUND good.
