Ammo availability is becoming an issue for my bolts already.

Speaking of, there's a potential route for restrictive legislation that can work.  If you want to reduce the amount of rounds a person can send downrange, screwing with his mags won't do shit, whereas setting a possession limit on ammo outside of a range will.  They are hazardous materials, after all.  Perhaps they should require an endorsement or licensing beyond some threshold (and ofc there can be site-specific or chambering exemptions).

No deal on ammo limitations.  The right to bear arms is not about hunting.

Out of that whole list, only vetting and waiting periods have life beyond your simple anti-corporate quick fix fantasies.  

We already have vetting and waiting lists for the class of firearm so massively represented in trace data, though, and it doesn't seem to work.  Why, do you imagine, is that?  Could it possibly be that the owners are not acting in as good a faith as manufacturers, dealers, and resellers?

Um no, the reality is just enough of buyers are buying the snack patriot bullshit. I wish there was not a minority of firearm owners buying the fear marketing of the industry, but they do, and they DO NOT represent the majority of firearm owners.

Owning guns to prevent tyranny from our government or to defend against opposing armies or thugs has nothing to do with what you are spewing.
