How does one violently oppress violent oppressors? I'm talking genuine fascists here, in power, in government

At that point, it becomes armed revolution, not the suppression of freedoms.  But you said Antifa is needed in some places.  Beating up journalists is needed? Fomenting riots because of a speech you disagree with is needed?

Antifa aren't freedom fighters.  They are thugs, goons and attention whores, no better than neo-Nazis.  In fact, they're worse than neo-Nazis, because as contemptible as the latter group are, at least they aren't hypocrites.  Antifa types want to suppress freedom of speech in the name of freedom of speech.

Perhaps I should have said anti-fascist force, in general. Not what American Antifa is doing. I was referring to revolutionaries in countries where a population is so suppressed by fascist government that their only recourse is violence or submission.
