It's really a legal nicety more than anything else, but the Articles of Union state that Great Britain shall consist of the kingdoms of England and Scotland. If Scotland leaves, 'Great Britain' (politically) ceases to exist. And if Northern Ireland ever leaves (not bloody likely), the 'United Kingdom' will vanish in a puff of semantics.
But I suspect you're right about Scotland. The independence movement has gained quite a bit of traction in the last few years. This election could be the kicker.
