So explain to me why these politicians are peeing themselves over civilians owning guns?
A vast number of heavily armed zealots descending on an area is fundamentally scary. The fact that no one died and there wasn't a massive gun fight was not a given. It was a lucky escape.
Civilians should not own military type weapons and all guns should be extremely tightly regulated.
You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
