My late mother was a mostly lifetime voting republican. But even she could not stand the orange turd.
I will admit, if you can sway someone on the fence or slightly off to the other side, a "fuck you" isn't the best option.
But we are not talking about politics as normal. Hitler had very vile and radical views when he was a no name, and it took decades for him to consolidate power. He didn't take absolute power over night.
I'd love nothing more for America to get back to the politics of debate, but Trump has turned politics into WWE/Jerry Springer, with unfortunately very real implications that threaten our global and national security.
The fucker has vilified his own who are not blindly loyal to him. He has attacked war heros, even of his own party. He has sucked up to dictators and ignored or denied his own intel. He constantly vilifies anyone who questions him.
I don't know how politeness can work at this point.
This isn’t about how bad Trump is (and he’s really, REALLY bad). It’s about the language in Elf’s letter. I agree with the sentiments expressed, but the letter is going to do nothing, absolutely nothing (except possibly make Elf feel better for having written it).
