we had a few more service jobs come in and was able to unbelievably sell a car at the auction to another dealer.. lost a little money on that but hopfully we can closes out march with all the diferements and posponed payments we got.
if we can keep making a little here a little there might be able to make payroll for those who are still working.
actually we are at 3 people 1 part time 3 wives and a girl friend, 6 kids. now. revenue is down 90% from this time last year.

I think I read something about a ‘payroll protection’ plan. If I remember correctly, you can borrow up to 2.5 times your total payroll to keep your employees afloat. The loan is forgivable.
Might be worth looking into.

we have but the time it takes for us to get the money i would have to cover 6 to 8 weeks of pay.. which the company can't hold out for 6/8 weeks and pay the guys. so i have to let the guys go hold out till we get paid and in the mean while they can get unemployment at 100% their normal pay. then maybe if we get enough money i can bring them back. if not this lay off may be permanent.
This is the least damaging way for everyone

Here in Portugal, companies under 250 employees are getting gvt help during these times, they pay half the emplyees salary, dunno about over yonder, but you could spend time looking into it.
we do get help but some estimates say maybe by june. can afford to pay from mid march till june with no very little work coming in.
The government is paying the guys through unemployment system 100% of their normal pay till we get assistance.

all of my guys are second chance felons. who have gotten their lives together, and were all making a very comfortable some better than me living.
