If you were alone on the planet, what would you do?

Not bad..... But 2nd place.


I would go to the local airport and find myself a nice Cessna 182 (or 185 if I felt like a taildragger) and bring along some m80 firecrackers with long fuses.

I would set up some LED camping lanterns along the runway to serve as landing lights - then take off an hour or so after sunset.... I would fly a box pattern around the airport - ten miles or so out - dropping m80s every minute or so... 

The bang would get their attention - and then they would hear the aircraft engine. If they wanted contact - I expect they would make themselves known with some lights....


Easy peasy - and fun as well...

Well, I can't fly; although if I thought I was the last person I could probably figure it out with no regulations or other planes taking off. Besides, you would be presenting a huge target and would most likely be shot at. I wouldn't mind losing a drone and I would paint a smiley on them so people knew I wasn't luring them into a cannibalistic trap, probably.

It's pretty tough to hit a plane... Pretty much impossible if they are up 5000 ft or so - at least with small arm fire.

A drone isn't bad - but nothing beats a good set of real eyes in the sky...
