They do, and that need is only going to grow with every cycle. The youngest and most leftwing voters (the same group, incidentally) might make up 8% of the pop (as of 2018)...and growing, but it's posited that they make up to a third of likely democratic voters due to their increased political activism. Or dem vote candidates, if we prefer...they might not vote, but if they did...
The right is apoplectic about this, it's this cohort that they fear - and it's for this reason that they direct the accusations that form their campaign message....that are likely (at least partly) true of that inevitable force in american politics...at an old guard which doesn't represent that cohort, but skews more closely to their own views. Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot. In disarray. All that.
If there's anything other than a white identity movement left of the republican party, those republicans need to build a coalition with right-leaning dems like Biden and Harris. That's a practical reality of facing what amounts to a coming third political party that will, absolutely will, outnumber both sides of the current establishment together.
