Palestine belongs to its native Palestinian people, the land belongs to these natives, not to invaders.
The earliest residents of Palestine were the Canaanites, the cultural ancestors of the Israelites.
In other words, the ‘native Palestinian people’ you refer to are Israelites, or (if you prefer) Jews.
This isn’t to say that modern Palestinians didn’t get horrible treatment and a raw deal - they absolutely did. It’s a shonda the way they’ve been treated.
