Call me naive, but i like to compare it with the franco german relations (although the differences werent as fundamental as they are with the conflict over there). The vicious clycle has to be broken. After so long it doesnt matter "who started it" (thats why i think Atlass is fundamentally wrong by trying to look for a solution based on answering this question). It can be done, it must be done.
9 million Israelis wont leave their spot, unless you are going to engage in (yet another) genocide or will commit to mass deportation un a scale unseen for a long time, and neither will the palestinians and everyone around.
If these people wont find a modus vivendi, they will be stuck in what they have now. Of course external powers are trying to take advantage, but *the west* or Russia or whoever is not responsible for the underlying extremism on both sides, mostly religiously motivated. Lets not pretend that anyone else but the people directly involved and their underlying fundamental (and fundamentalist) positions are in the end the root cause of this shit show.
And now go ahead and call me anti muslim or antisemite. Im out of fucks to give for quite some time.
