And FYI it is much harder to kill multiple people in short order with a knife or machetes than it is with a firearm.
The Vegas shooter couldn't have killed 53 people 30 stories up in a hotel nearly 75 yards away from the concert goers with a knife or machete.

The article YOU posted said there was one AR-15. A box for a .380 pistol (but no mention of the actual pistol. I think it's safe to assume it wasn't there or they would have said so) A box of 5.56 ammo. That's normally 20 rounds. A "cannister of explosive" - Tannerite. Normally a 1 lbs jar. Sold LEGALLY as a reactive target.
That's it. One gun. One box of ammo. One target.
