Considering there was no charges filed - why would you report it at all?

Are you going to report that he didn't cut the grass and forgot his mother's birthday?

Since the man was plainly obsessed with violence - regardless of what he was actually charged with - the presence of weapons in the van seems germane to the story. Lawn mowing and mum’s birthday aren’t really relevant to a story about a man with fantasies about murder, child rape and mass killings, so no, I wouldn’t report them.

Again: would leaving the guns out of the story entirely be biased journalism?
