OLB is a scared paranoid person. He's bought 50 years of NRA bullshit, "They're coming for your guns". 

The only thing the NRA and NSSF are, are lobby groups funded by the CEOs of firearm companies. The original NRA was not a corporate lobby when it started. It was a safety organization. Now it is nothing more than a profit lobby funded by "donations" by the makers to scare the shit out of people like OLB.

The NRA isn't about rights, much less safety. It is a profit lobby.
