Most of the time it's not worth engaging with theists IRL from a religious critique perspective, and it might just prove to be a risk you're taking if you do challenge their faith in person by saying how fucking stupid it is (and it is) by citing some example of a faith-heads representative of their religion or whatever, and I speak from experience. Take that single anecdotal "evidence" for what it's worth.
I try to just be an example, instead of just saying I don't believe in any god because of x.
I find it quite funny when some poor theist sap thinks I'm a paragon of virtue of some ideal (most of the time Christian "behavior") by just being my own human self, and the absolute look of surprise when I slide in the notion that I don't believe in any version of the supernatural, including their god image. Yes, yes, I'm being a pretentious asshole just writing this, I know.
