Why not, and why should we expect different if that suggestion gets such an easy no from allies? That, to me, seems like a relatively benign way to handle the issue..I'm glad I didn't float my own much more severe personal convictions on the subject of what to do with concentration camp commandants and guards. It's always been clear to me that there's alot more wiggle room in other peoples minds on this issue.
I can't personally sign on to the idea that "let us do concentration camps just a little" is ever a valid negotiation. I get why it happens. These people are running a state and so they have a tendency to look at these issues like I look at broadcast rates and feeding cycles - purely functionary. That's the enemy, imo. That's what positively causes this shit to happen without the need of any bad faith actors or ethnic cleansers. When it's something that the bad guys do..sure, but also completely expected from the good guys too - then you're staring at a rock and a hard place from the other end of our patrols.
