It isn't just TV remotes. I hate how at the end of a show, especially some documentary or police show, they give you a very, nanosecond epilogue graphic blurb to end the show which you don't have the time to read because Liberty Mutual and Ford F-150 need their add space. It pops up so fast you don't have time to read it. And all I can think is , 'JUST FUCKING STOP, YOU DON'T CARE"

Back in the 70s there was a "speed reading" scam advertised on TV. I don't know the company, but looking back at it now, of course it was bullshit.
I think even the inventors of the popular 70s/80s game "Simon", where you had to replicate the flashing buttons in sequence, were flashing colored lights, hate their fellow human beings.
