Agreed - the parents have put together a nursery, picked a name, thought about the future with the child. Going home at the end of pregnancy (especially one that far along) the parents have planned for months to go home with a baby, not empty arms.
As for making sense to mourn...people mourn a lot of things that didn't happen like they had planned.
