"The problem is Mental Health!" they'll scream.
Because other countries don't have mental health problems. Just America. We're unique that way.
And we'll do nothing to even try to solve that problem.
"It's Video Games!"
Because other countries don't have video games. Just America. Only country in the world to play video games.
It's time people face facts. America's problem is the gun culture we have. How many other western countries have large swaths of people who fantasize about taking on the Government armed with an AR-15?
Buying a gun should not be an easy process. And certain guns should be owned by nobody.
Requirements to purchase a weapon:
Step 1: You must be 21 years of age or older. We don't trust 20 year olds to drink an alcoholic beverage, I'm not sure why we're trusting them with a Gun.
Step 2: You must take a firearms class and pass an exam.
Step 3: You must pass a mental health check
Step 4: You will be interviewed by Police and must explain in writing why you need this gun
Step 5: You must purchase a Gun Safe and have it inspected by police.
Step 6: You must pass a thorough background check, which includes social media check, and interviews with friends, neighbors and co-workers. Domestic Violence charges automatically disqualify you from owning a firearm for life. If you are charged with domestic violence, any guns you own are immediately confiscated.
Step 7: If you wish to keep your guns, you must undergo a mental health evaluation every 3 years.
Certain guns should no longer be available to purchase. AR-15's among them. If you really like the feel of an AR-15 you may apply for a gun range permit, which will allow you to go to a gun range and shoot an AR-15 that cannot be taken off the premises by any means. Same applies to similar guns. If you want to hunt with one, too bad. Sucks to be you, I guess.
That's what we should do. We won't. But it'd be the reasonable thing to do.

The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton
