That’s why police depts offer so little money when they run a buyback. They know people will bite, they know there are tons of firearms in that range, and they know that these firearms…very specifically, are the ones they’re constantly finding in trace data.
That’s actually market saturation. In a flooded market, demand and prices drop to the point where excess inventory can’t be sold at any price. The US gun market won’t be flooded until no one wants any more guns.
