This is a couple towns away from me, BTB. Hell, about 12 hours before the shooting started, I was even closer to the area when I went to see Classical Mystery Tour at Ravinia.
And so, in the tradition of my America: The Drinking Game, here's a song that commemorates an according-to-Hoyle mass murder happening so close to me that the Fourth of July festivities in my hometown are being canceled:

Quote:Six people were killed and possibly more than two dozen others wounded when a gunman started shooting 10 minutes after the Highland Park Fourth of July parade kicked off Monday morning, authorities said.
Shortly after noon, the Highland Park police said it remained an “active incident” and urged people to stay away.
A Chicago Sun-Times reporter saw blankets covering three bloodied bodies and five other people wounded and bloodied near the parade’s reviewing stand.
