First off WHY are you obsessing on "gotta be a gun in rvery room"????? No logic there.
The guns are where the guns are - and the teachers will be trained to know how to retrieve them.
Odds are - the monster is going to start shooting somewhere in the school - and that sound carries. If you have 10 teachers out of 30 that are trained -- the odds are at least 9 of them will NOT get shot immediately. One or two would be expected. This means 8 or 9 will have a chance to arm themselves.
If half succeed in getting to a gun - that' s still at least 4 trained people on scene right now. That might make a difference.
Or you can wait for the cops to show up... Maybe they' ll help....
Maybe not.
I don’t think I’m ‘obsessing’ about it - YOU said:
Quote:They could mount a biometric safe in each room of the school with approved teachers fingerprints as access.
So, it’s your logic, not mine.
And sure - some of those approved, trained teachers will have the chance to arm. Then, they’ll need to get to the room where the shooting is happening. Then, they’ll have to breach a door that may be locked or even barricaded. All of this is probably going to take at least that 5 minutes you mentioned earlier, during which the shooter has killed (your estimate) at least a dozen people, possibly everyone in the classroom. Add to that, the shooter may have ammo left, and he’s crouched down behind the dead teacher’s desk prepared to shoot anyone who comes through the door.
So, what good did the gun safe do?
