It really is amazing. You're right, they don't want to lower their numbers.
Yet one of the posters shared a story of a Catholic family having to give a church back-pay (the family had stopped giving weekly donations) in order to get a funeral for a relative.
The church won't let you officially leave. Yet they have no qualms about swindling you if you've been a "bad Catholic"
A friend's dad was a Presby minister. He christened her. I didn't bother with the other two. By the time I had them I was over it
The concept of paying....actually paying with cash money...did it for me though I had doubts long before that.
