Traditional Catholicism: Suscipe Domine

Traditional Catholicism: Suscipe Domine
So, today I stumbled into a whole other world of crazy while browsing the net.

Welcome to the world of "Traditional Catholicism", where you're more Catholic than the Pope, Non-Catholic artwork should be destroyed on sight, Demons are cast out of small babies and the congregations pray for an end to democracy and the return of the medieval feudal system.

All I can say is....Fuck me, and I thought the Vatican was smoking some serious shit.

I took one look and saw:

http:// Traditional Catholism for Dummies?

And I said...Yes. Yes it is.

I clicked on the first link and that was enough. A Buddhist shrine should be doused in "holy" water and blessed by a priest.

Wonder how much they'd scream if someone suggested a Shinto priest do that to a crucifix and a bible?

The don't protest too much when a priest buggers a boy behind the altar . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Yeah, most of them are telling her to burn it. Some guy pointed out the Catholic church has the biggest collection of pagan art in the world and he just got shouted down.

These ones do, there's a thread on there somewhere calling for "sodomites" to be put to death or castrated.

I only clicked the last one and found this nugget.

Quote:Demons are far more powerful and intelligent than we are. But they fall far, far short of the power of Angels, our Lady and of course Our Lord. Any power our Lord allows them to exercise is for His good works.

The stupid.... It burns!

It scares me to think that in the 21st century there are people who do not wear towels on their heads who still believe in fucking demons.

Some Catholic Guy Wrote:From what I've heard, demons can possess children even before the child is born. That's why the traditional infant baptism ceremony includes an exorcism.

After baptism then the child has sanctifying grace, but I think that a person living in a state of grace can still become possessed. The risk is certainly lower if the person isn't committing personal sin though, and especially if the person isn't engaging in the occult.

Wow.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

When a group says that it means the hierarchy is all pedophile all the time.
