Going by your logic, it's cool to deadname and misgender conservative trans women, because they're working against the cause by being conservative, so therefore we need not respect their identity? Ye deserves the respect to be allowed to shed his slave name and go by something else. Muhammad Ali said some pretty yikesy things about women in his time.

Yes because dead-naming transpeople is the same as not using Kanye's new name. Because I so believe he really cares about this and it isn't just for attention because he's a massive narcissist whose using the horrible legacy of slavery to prop himself up   

Kanye can call himself whatever he wants and we can mock him for it seeming insincere and Ali has apologized so many times for his past comments and has done a lot to be a legitimately good person. Kanye could too but his ego would never allow it.

So you aren't going to respect Ye's identity, because you think he might have changed his name as a publicity stunt? People's identity should be respected regardless of what they have done or said imo. If a trans woman commits murder, she's still a trans woman after the fact, and I'm not going to disrespect her identity just because she's done some fucked up things.
