The nuts are coming to us from the the districts that are both the screwiest, and the most tightly screwed. With the districts and primaries being what they are - anyone who's so much as taken intro to pol sci could have seen that the magafication of the party was inevitable no matter what the wishes of the voter might be. Sure, they want horrible shit...a whole lot more than we like to acknowledge - remember the yearslong cultural meltdown at the suggestion that magats were racists...but they aren't getting the horrible shit they want even when they get the horrible candidate they do. Ask em, they'll tell you. Slicing up brown babies with razorwire is great! What they really want is some white welfare, though.
