Matt Orchard's new video, this time, about the case of Joel Guy Jr. The deaths themselves aren't particularly grisly (just stabbing). But the details of his bizarre Mobius strip of a disposal plan certainly are.
Apparently, his plan [Outlined in a notebook he labeled, I shit you not, The Book of Premeditation] involved simultaneously leaving enough of their bodies intact to suggest a struggle where Joel Sr killed his wife, and himself, but ALSO have most of the bodies dissolved and denatured enough that they could be flushed down the toilet. (Fun fact: Dennis Nilsen tried the latter half of that plan; that's how he got caught.)
Evidently, he expected the police to buy the story that Dad killed his wife and himself, and somehow managed to completely destroy most of BOTH of their bodies, with just enough remaining to establish the murder-suicide aspect.
He was also apparently dumb enough to think that surely nobody would notice a fire starting to burn the house down in the middle of the afternoon.
