I suspect there's a couple of typos in there, but if I get your gist correctly, you're right -- serving your country doesn't make you a saint or a baby-killer, either way, necessarily. It just means that you were willing to put your ass n the line, at one time. The rest of your life is still the rest of your life.
I just question how someone could swear an oath to the Constitution and then later support one who would tear it down -- precisely because his being a veteran and swearing that oath makes it more mysterious.
