The NHS is far from perfect, but it is vastly better than the alternative, I need regular medication to control high blood pressure and asthma, my wife needs insulin and other drugs for her diabetes, this does not cost me a penny (to be fair, I get free prescriptions due to the fact that I am an old fart, otherwise there is a small charge) I cannot imagine what the cost would be in the US. We do pay for it in out tax, but a lot less than the cost of insurance in the US. I also have the option (freedom!!) to "go private" if I want to.
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!
