It seems a bit ironic that we're being lectured on celebrating someone's death by an avowed member of a death cult.

So witty, so sauve, wow much wit

It lacks the irony of suggesting only poor people who live in slums can be shot dead, while claiming to have some sort of moratorium on valuing human life of course.

"Lectured" has an implication that you learn; 

No it certainly does not, especially when the sententious lecture is based primarily on the morals of bronze age, patriarchal Bedouin societies. 

I gave up on that on day one.

 Learning? Well this explains a lot.
