Here in the UK....regional accents on tv news. Long ago, presenters all spoke very plummy whereas nowadays we get geordie, irish, scottish et al , and others that are hard tpo place but annoying. On my local tv news, there is a woman reporter with a very strong northern irish accent...I mute her every time!
Bring back uniformity I say.
Stating with the spoken word, the modern insistence on stressing the " t " in words annoys me.
" total" becomes " tote tal ", " frontal " " front tal " if you get my point.
People who stand by exit doors in trains and don't move away to let people out easily also piss me off.
