Typical male attitude.(?) A good (female) friend working within the family law system here always said to her friends who were divorcing:" For goodness sake make sure HE gets the children!"

In Muslim countries,in a divorce, the children AUTOMATICALLY go to the father.

A child of the 1950's and 60's, I grew up in a society and a family with strict gender roles. Feminism confused the crap out of me. For the first 10-15 years, I simply made the right noises. I had I not, I would never have gotten laid. I was in my mid 30's and married before I actually realised that women are actually real people.

I have always been a bit bemused by the fact that I can't remember any woman insisting she and her sisters be included in the draft.
