I hate it when Christians quote Jeremiah 29:11 for me. It's one of their favourite, and it's a lie.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Well, if those are the plans, then what if some calamity happens that is beyond my control?
And Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Christians often quote this verse when some horrific thing happens. I'd like to know what planet they're from.

God is a personification of ourselves, what we wish to be, and that which we do not understand.
