Let's not forget that old standby, Psalm 14:1 - "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." As with all quotemining they happily dump out the part that seems to support their point of view, but though it's not unknown they rarely give us the second bit - "They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." Maybe because it's a little harder to justify when all they wanted was a shit 'n' run job; it opens up a whole slew of uncomfortable questions. Actually the standard response is "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. The Wise Man shouts it from the rooftops."
Then there's this delightful little nugget: "Atheists run from God for the same reason a thief runs from a policeman." What a very xtian thing to say. It just begs for a lion.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
