The Bible tells us that women and men still became less fertile as they aged, the same as now.

If People lived to be 900 years old in the time of Moses then why do you assume the rate of physical decay would remain as it is now?

So although people lived several hundred years, their years of fertility were still limited to their youth as now.

Why do you believe "youth" to be what we consider to be young?

How many wives did the average man take?

Considering they were slaves, probably not many. It tends to be the wealthy and powerful that have multiple wives.

Would it not make sense if you were a slave owning nation undergoing a massive building project, to encourage or even force the production of more "free labor?" Thereby increasing the number of "wives" a man would typically have. Remember they were all considered to be properity of Pharroh, and it was left to him to feed and provide for the mass of Jews... Not what the man of the house could afford.
(The US did the same thing a few hundred years ago when the importing of slave became more restrictive)
